Job summary

Real Futures Pty is recruiting an Employment Consultant to lead and support participants toward sustainable employment within the AKG framework across Australia. You will assess barriers, source opportunities, and tailor job plans while building strong ties with local employers and education providers.

The role emphasizes client-centred service, collaboration with community organisations, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion within a respectful team culture.

Qualifications

• Have full working rights in Australia.
• Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Complete an Australia History Criminal Check.
• Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The Employment Consultant Inclusive Employment Australia is responsible for leading, coaching and supporting participants to find employment.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting and understanding the clients' barriers and work to develop employment goals
• Creating and sourcing employment opportunities
• Supporting and helping clients identify their skills, abilities, and secure sustainable employment
• Providing and delivering a high level of customer service to our clients, employers, and stakeholders
• Creating, tailoring, and implementing a partnered job plan
• Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations
• Explaining to employers the benefits and supports in hiring someone with a barrier/disability

Who are we looking for?

• Someone who can overcome objections and break down employment barriers
• Ability to deliver efficient and effective strategies to positively engage with employers
• Awareness of vulnerabilities and the positive effects of employment
• Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Well-developed problem-solving skills
