Job summary

John Fawkner Private Hospital in Melbourne's northwest region is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our emergency department on a part-time 0.6 basis. You will be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Applicants should have 3–5 years nursing experience, Australian work rights, and preferably a postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care (or be studying toward it).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care or currently studying.
• Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
• Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Adhere to AHPRA standards, code of ethics and Healthscope policies.
• Provide supervision and teaching to peers, graduates and students.
• Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain professional relationships with VMO partners and a customer service mindset.
• Show initiative and work within a team environment.
• Maintain ongoing professional development.
