Job summary

Bowral Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator to support the Emergency Department's Safe Staffing Initiative, strengthening clinical practice and patient outcomes. You will lead targeted education and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive workforce development.

The role requires a current AHPRA-registered nurse with postgraduate education experience and a track record of implementing education programs in acute care.

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education, or equivalent combination.
• Describe how your skills, qualifications and experience align with the Clinical Nurse Educator role and contribute to the Safe Staffing Initiative in Bowral ED.
• Provide an example of identifying learning needs and designing, implementing and evaluating education programs that improved staff capability or patient outcomes in an acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to support safe staffing principles and best practice care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate change management and workforce development initiatives.
• Build staff confidence and capability through targeted education and support programs.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Safe Staffing Initiative within the Emergency Department.
• Embed safe staffing practices into everyday clinical operations to promote high-quality, patient-centred care.
