Job summary

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is seeking a Clinical Educator for the Emergency Department. This 0.8 FTE permanent role focuses on delivering ED education, supporting nursing staff, and enhancing clinical learning in a 24/7 ED environment.

Under the ED Clinical Manager and Care 24/7 Medical Director, you will optimise staff development through diverse teaching strategies, simulation, and competency assessments to drive quality patient care.

Qualifications

AHPRA Registered Nurse is required.
Minimum 3 years post-graduate ED nursing experience.
Post Graduate Qualification in Emergency.
Proven leadership with a positive, can-do attitude.
Ability to deliver creative, innovative and flexible education.
Strong communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Willingness to join a mission-based organisation.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or similar is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver ED specialist education to support the nursing team.
Plan and implement education programs to develop staff and nursing capability.
Deliver simulation training in ED.
Conduct mandatory training and competency assessments for core skills.
Provide clinical supervision, education, training and mentorship to nursing staff.
