Job summary

Motion Recruitment’s client, a leading Defence organisation in Melbourne, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will design, develop and test embedded software for mission-critical Defence systems, working across hardware interfaces and real-time software.

You will collaborate with hardware, systems and other software engineers throughout the full software development lifecycle and contribute to software architecture and documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as an Embedded Software Engineer.
• Strong programming in C and/or C++.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time systems, RTOS or embedded Linux would be advantageous.
• Experience working with hardware/software interfaces.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Robotics or another safety/mission-critical environment would be highly regarded.

My client is a leading Defence organisation looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, mission critical Defence systems where you will be involved in the design, development, integration and testing of embedded software.
The Role as an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, developing reliable and high performance embedded software for advanced Defence applications.
You will have the opportunity to contribute across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with hardware, systems and other software engineers to deliver high quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test embedded software for Defence systems
• Develop software using C and/or C++
• Work with embedded systems, real-time software and hardware interfaces

Location

This position is Melbourne based and requires you to be located in Melbourne, Australia. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Melbourne office/site, so this opportunity is not available as a fully remote position.
