Job summary

RØDE is seeking a dedicated Electronics Operator to join our SMT team in Australia. You will operate SMT production equipment safely, perform through-hole soldering to IPC standards, and ensure high-quality PCBA assembly.

You will manage task times against Production Orders, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and support small maintenance tasks. Experience with electronics components and micro-scale handling is preferred, with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes.
• Background in electronics manufacturing (highly regarded).
• Strong manual dexterity with small components.
• Good mechanical aptitude with tools/fixtures.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable working independently and managing output.
• Experience assembling or inspecting products under a microscope (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT production equipment safely and efficiently.

• Carry out PCBA assembly, inspection and rework to a high standard.
• Ensure accuracy by self-checking work and minimising errors.
• Replenish components and materials, and complete job changeovers smoothly.
• Accurately record task times against Production Orders.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
• Support minor maintenance activities as required.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by team leaders, supervisors and managers.

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hourly Rate: $27.97

What you'll do

• Operate SMT production equipment safely and efficiently

• Operate selective soldering and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment
• Carry out PCBA assembly, inspection and rework to a high standard
• Ensure accuracy by self-checking work and minimising errors
