Job summary

Advanced Navigation is seeking an Assembly Technician to join the production team responsible for the assembly, calibration and testing of complex electronics equipment. The role involves bonding, inspecting, and documenting processes while collaborating with R&D to improve assembly methods.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electronic and electrical assembly, ability to read drawings, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with high value products in a precision assembly or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years experience in electronic and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read and work with mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Sufficient visual and mechanical dexterity for inspecting, handling, cleaning and soldering.
• General computer skills - Excel, Outlook and lab equipment software.
• A focus on high quality, precision and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn the products in a specialty industry.
• Strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.
• Self motivation and a positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual; Excellent work ethic.
• Strong knowledge of WHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, calibrate and test electronic and optics assemblies.
• Use adhesives to bond and seal products.
• Work closely with the Engineering R&D team to develop new assembly processes and techniques.
• Assist with the development and documentation of processes and procedures.
• Assist with management of inventory and electrical components.
• Perform simple maintenance and service of electrical and optical assembly equipment.
• Pack semi-finished goods for safe transport and process quality inspection of products.
• Growing and developing with the Company as Advanced Navigation continues to evolve.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Our production team is accountable for the production, assembly and testing of complex electronics equipment. Being proficient in the assembly of electronic products, our Assembly Technician’s form part of a highly skilled and knowledgeable team of Technicians and Engineers that deliver Advanced Navigation’s industry leading products.
