Job summary

Electro Optic Systems is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to design, simulate, and test complex analog and digital circuits across the full lifecycle, from concept to delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective subsystems.

The role emphasizes DFMA, DFAS, and rigorous validation, with an expectation of hands-on prototyping, diagnostics, and thorough design reviews in a Defence-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar electronics design role.
• In-depth knowledge of both digital and analog circuit design.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated experience spanning design, integration, test, and sustainment.
• Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Advanced computer skills, including engineering design software, databases, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Design & Simulation: Design robust analog and digital circuits using advanced engineering software.
• Circuit Simulation: Model and simulate electrical circuits to ensure performance before physical prototyping.
• Design Optimization: Consider DFMs, DFAs, and cost constraints.
• Prototyping: Build and test prototype circuits and wiring harnesses.
• Lifecycle Management: Apply engineering practices across concept, design, integration, test, and sustainment.
• V&V Activities: Perform evaluation, verification, and validation of subsystems with test engineers.
• Design Sign-off: Conduct tests and formally sign off on designs.
• Diagnostics: Research and troubleshoot on equipment and prototypes.
• Systems Alignment: Ensure hardware meets overall project requirements.
• Cross-Disciplinary teamwork: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
• Planning: Update electrical design plans with project schedules.
• Problem Solving: Resolve design issues focusing on manufacturability.
