Job summary

Axent Global in Clayton, Victoria, is seeking Electronic Technicians at junior and experienced levels to join our Service Department. You will install, service and repair LED/LCD displays, CCTV systems and other electronic equipment on-site and in the field.

The role requires a Certificate III in Electronics and Communications, experience with SMT/SMD, and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude. Travel across Victoria and after-hours work may be required.

Job description

Axent is seeking Electronic Technicians at both junior and experienced levels to join our Service Department in Clayton, Victoria. It is imperative that you have a positive hard working attitude,time management skills and hold a passion to deliver outstanding service and support to our customers.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electronic signage and general electronic devices both in-house and in the field.

You will benefit by working with high quality products and state of the art technology for our high profile clientele.

The Role

You will be performing installation, maintenance and repairs to LED/LCD electronic displays, security monitoring systems and CCTV systems.

Repair and trouble shooting printed circuit boards

Work with Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Test and Tag activities

Ability to create and work in a safe environment.

Ability to follow OH&S requirements.

Commissioning and testing of field equipment.

Customer training and project handovers.

Works are based in Clayton Victoria however, field works are across the entire state of Victoria.

Travel is an essential part of this role

After hours works and “On-call” duties where required.

Prepare detailed service and failure records and reports.

Must have requirements.

To be successful in this role we are seeking a suitably qualified person with demonstrated skills and qualifications as listed below:

Experience in servicing and maintaining electronic equipment/devices.

Certificate III in Electronics and Communications

Experience in soldering and working with SMT / SMD

Familiar with use of Windows OS and MS Office.

Sound QA & OHS understanding and compliance.

Competent in the use of hand and power tools.

Have excellent communication skills, initiative and logical reasoning.

Car License – Mandatory.

White Card

EWP, Working at Heights, and First Aid tickets are preferred but not essential
