Responsibilities

• Supporting cable testing, protection testing and commissioning.
• Hydro power station inspections and maintenance.
• Working safely with site teams and completing accurate job reports.

Electrician / Experienced Wind Turbine Technician – OLAN Services

Location: Bathurst / Central West NSW, with travel to project sites across NSW

Employment type: Full-time or casual, negotiable for the right candidate

OLAN Services is a growing electrical contracting business based in Bathurst, supporting wind farms, hydro power stations, high-voltage infrastructure and industrial clients across NSW.

We are seeking a qualified Electrician or experienced Wind Turbine Technician to join our team. This is a hands‑on role offering varied work across renewable energy maintenance, electrical projects and specialist testing.

About the role

Depending on your qualifications and experience, your work may include:

• Wind turbine servicing, fault finding, repairs and component replacement.
• Electrical installation and maintenance across renewable energy and industrial sites.
• HV and LV switchgear inspections, maintenance and testing.
• Supporting cable testing, protection testing and commissioning.
• Hydro power station inspections and maintenance.
• Working safely with site teams, following isolation procedures and completing accurate job reports.

About you

• A qualified electrician with a current Australian electrical licence, or an experienced wind turbine technician with relevant trade qualifications and practical experience.
• Strong fault‑finding skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
• A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and reliable service.
• Comfortable working at heights and travelling to regional project sites.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current driver’s licence.

Highly regarded

• Wind turbine experience, particularly on GE or Vestas platforms.
• Current GWO training, Working at Heights, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue.
• HV switching authorisation or HV maintenance and testing experience.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, instrumentation or control system experience.
• Dogging, rigging or other relevant high‑risk work licences.

Electrical work will be allocated according to the successful applicant’s licence, qualifications and authorisations.
