Qualifications

• NSW Electrical Licence (unrestricted) is required.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing or heavy plant environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLCs and motor control systems.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown & Diagnostics: troubleshoot and repair electrical breakdowns on active manufacturing machinery, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics to minimise plant downtime.
• Automation & Controls: fault-find and interact with PLC systems, SCADA
• Preventive Maintenance: conduct monthly safety inspections, tagging, calibrations, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Cross-Trade Support: work closely with Mechanical Fitters to assist in repair, rebuilds and equipment recommissioning.
• Continuous Improvement: collaborate with the Engineering Manager on continuous improvement projects, plant automation upgrades and safety risk assessments.

• Predictable 8-Hour Roster: Consistent schedules and great balance on an alternating 2-week rotation:
• Week A (Day Shift): 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Week B (Afternoon Shift): 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• Technical Growth: Expand your trade skills working hands-on with PLCs, SCADA, databases and modern plant automation systems.
• Clean & Safe Environment: Work alongside a supportive & cooperative engineering team

Duties
