Job summary

Hahn Electrical Contracting Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking qualified electricians to join our growing team in High Wycombe, offering a mix of workshop electrical work and mining project/site opportunities across Australia.

The role is Perth-based, Monday–Friday, with potential for workshop-only or combined site work; you’ll install, fault-find, maintain and test HV/LV systems, substations and underground panels.

Qualifications

• Must hold WA Electrical Workers Licence.
• Must have a current Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid & CPR/LVR required.
• Current Police Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, modify and repair mining electrical equipment.
• Build and maintain underground panels and associated equipment.
• Electrical maintenance and fault-finding on underground drill rigs.
• Workshop electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Installation, maintenance and fault-finding of HV/LV systems and switchgear.
• HV/LV cable installation and termination.
• Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Travel to mine sites across Australia for project and relief work when required.

The role provides the opportunity to build your mining experience, develop your electrical skills and work across a wide range of mining equipment and projects, with genuine opportunities to progress into senior, leading hand and supervisory roles.

About the Role

This is a Perth-based Monday–Friday position located in High Wycombe, combining workshop electrical work with opportunities for mining project and site work across Australia.

You’ll work across a variety of mining electrical projects and equipment, including substations, underground panels, underground drill rigs and MCC builds, as well as workshop electrical maintenance and HV/LV systems.

The role covers electrical installation, fault-finding, maintenance, testing and commissioning, giving you hands‑on involvement from equipment build through to completion.

Depending on experience and operational requirements, opportunities are available for primarily workshop-based work or a combination of workshop and FIFO project work.

What We’re Looking For

• WA Electrical Workers Licence
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Current Driver’s Licence

Highly Regarded

• Mining or heavy industry experience
• HV Switching qualification
• EWP
• Working at Heights
• Mining experience is not essential for the right electrician. Experienced electricians looking to transition into mining are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates without current site-clearance tickets are also encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to obtain the required qualifications prior to site mobilisation.
