Job summary

Coles Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician – Industrial Electrician for our Chef Fresh manufacturing function in New South Wales. Reporting to the Engineering Shift Supervisor, you’ll provide maintenance support, set up and technical expertise for automated packaging equipment and processes.

The role requires an Electrical licence and a Trade Certificate, at least five years’ field experience, and a collaborative approach to improving production reliability.

Qualifications

• Electrical licence is required for electrician positions.
• Recognised Trade Certificate or equivalent Engineering qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years in field troubleshooting and maintaining automated processing or packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support and set up for automated packaging equipment.
• Offer technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
• Improve reliability and performance of equipment in the production area.

About the role

Join our Retail Manufacturing team as a Maintenance Technician – Industrial Electrician within our Chef Fresh function.

Reporting to the Engineering Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for providing maintenance support, set up and technical expertise for specific equipment. This includes troubleshooting, resolving technical problems and improving the reliability/performance in the functional area.

We are recruiting for the following rosters:

• Nightshift (10PM - 6AM) Monday - Friday with some weekend work available.

About you and your skills

• Electrical licence required for all electrician positions
• A recognised Trade Certificate, or Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade, or
• Certificate III in Engineering-Electrical/Electronic Trade, or Certificate III in Engineering-Fabrication Trade is required
• A minimum of 5 years in field experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated processing or packaging equipment.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Minimum Electrical Trade Certificate / Qualifications and current Electrical License.
• Committed to optimise the production process and identify opportunities for improvement.
