Leading Crane Services, Melbourne-based, is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Crane Services team. The role supports clients across Victoria and beyond, including mine sites and refineries, with regular Melbourne work alongside our broader team.

If you enjoy fault finding and hands-on electrical work, this is a chance to develop in a specialised field. Crane experience is valued but not essential; training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Good electrical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
• Overhead crane or hoist experience (advantage).
• Industrial electrical experience (advantage).
• Mechanical aptitude (advantage).
• Working at Heights Certificate (advantage).
• EWP High Risk Work Licence (advantage).
• Dogging and/or Rigging Licence (advantage).

Responsabilités

• Inspecting, servicing and repairing overhead cranes and hoists.
• Electrical fault finding and breakdown repairs.
• Working with motors, control circuits and associated equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Developing mechanical knowledge of cranes and lifting equipment.
• Preparing job reports and repair recommendations.
• Working directly with customers across VIC/TAS/SA/NT.
• Regular interstate travel with the wider Crane Services team.

We are looking for a qualified Electrician residing in Melbourne to join our Crane Services team.

The role will support our clients throughout Victoria, as well as mine sites, refineries and other customers across surrounding states TAS / SA / NT, with regular work in Melbourne to work alongside our broader team.

If you enjoy fault finding, problem solving and hands‑on technical work, this is an opportunity to use your electrical skills in a specialised and varied field.

Previous crane experience is highly regarded but not essential. If you're a capable electrician with a willingness to learn, our experienced team will support you in developing the additional skills and knowledge required.

The Role

• Preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Developing mechanical knowledge of cranes and lifting equipment
• Preparing job reports and repair recommendations
• Working directly with customers across VIC / TAS / SA / NT, refinery sites and mine sites
• Regular travel interstate to work with our wider Crane Services team

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

• Australian recognised electrical trade qualification
• Current A Grade Electrical Licence
• Current Driver's Licence
• Good electrical fault‑finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Strong commitment to safety
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when required

The following would be an advantage:

• Overhead crane or hoist experience

Crane experience isn't essential. We're looking for a good electrician who is interested in broadening their skills and developing experience in a specialised area of the trade.
