Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-sales engineering support by analysing customer requirements and recommending suitable electrical systems and engineering solutions.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineers, workshop personnel, and other internal teams to ensure proposed solutions meet technical, operational, and commercial requirements.
  • Support engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including concept development, specification, implementation, testing, and commissioning support.
  • Deliver technical presentations, engineering workshops, product demonstrations, and customer training when required.
  • Provide engineering support for electrical systems installed in crane cabins, electrical control panels, and associated industrial equipment.
  • Work closely with workshop personnel to assist with electrical troubleshooting, system modifications, and technical problem-solving involving industrial electrical installations.
  • Read, interpret, prepare, and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, datasheets, specifications, and equipment documentation.
  • Produce, review, and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support engineering projects involving electrical upgrades, retrofit works, equipment improvements, and electrical system modifications.
  • Analyse electrical systems and recommend practical engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, safety, and operational performance.
  • Participate in engineering investigations, root cause analysis, and improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and workshop efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through Quality Management Systems, engineering procedures, and OHS/WHS practices.
Highly Desirable

Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • Industrial electrical cabling systems, including power, control, instrumentation, and communication networks.
  • Industrial automation and control systems, including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and Industrial Ethernet.
  • Technical customer support, engineering consultancy, or project engineering.
  • Delivery of technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, or customer training.
  • Cross-functional engineering coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
  • ERP platforms such as SAP.
  • Industrial infrastructure, plant expansion, retrofit, electrical upgrade, and automation projects.
  • Crane, lifting equipment, heavy industry, construction, or related industrial environments.
