Job summary

Detector Inspector in Newcastle is seeking a self-motivated electrician to carry out maintenance and testing of 240V smoke detectors, as well as some 9V battery-powered detectors, and to test and replace RCDs in residential properties. The work is primarily located in Newcastle, with travel to surrounding areas as required, so a willingness to travel and a genuine enjoyment of driving is essential.

You will start your day from home to your first appointment, using our in-house built app to track

Qualifications

• Electrical licence required.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Professional presentation and self-motivation.
• Strong customer and safety focus.
• Familiar with smartphones/applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and test 240V smoke detectors and 9V battery-powered detectors.
• Test and replace RCDs in residential properties.
• Travel to Newcastle and surrounding areas from home.
• Log bookings and job information using in-house app.

About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced electrician to carry out maintenance and testing of 240V smoke detectors, as well as some 9V battery-powered detectors, and to test and replace RCDs in residential properties. The work is primarily located in Newcastle, with travel to surrounding areas as required, so a willingness to travel and a genuine enjoyment of driving is essential.

You will start your day from home to your first appointment, using our in-house built app to track your bookings and record all the relevant job information. Each inspection can vary between 10-30 minutes to ensure a property is safe and compliant, whilst travel time between appointments can vary.
