Job summary

Opal ANZ, a leading paper and packaging business, invites applications for an Electrician on the afternoon shift at the Spearwood site in Western Australia. You will support production and maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly.

Essential: Electrical A grade Licence, experience with powered drives, WHS and isolation procedures, IT/telecommunication basics, and ability to read electrical schematics and drawings. SAP experience is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with powered drives.
• Strong understanding of WHS and electrical isolation.
• IT and telecommunications knowledge.
• Reading and understanding electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain powered drives in a manufacturing setting.
• Uphold WHS standards and perform electrical isolation procedures.
• Assist IT/telecom systems relevant to automation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings for installations and maintenance.

Opal ANZ is an industry-leading paper and packaging business. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in Australia as our Spearwood site is looking for an Electrician join the afternoon shift team!

They key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

• Knowledge and experience with powered drives.
• Excellent understanding of WHS and Electrical isolation.
• IT and telecommunication Knowledge.
• Reading and understanding of Electrical schematics and drawings.

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• Electrical A grade Licence Holder (this is required)
• Knowledge & experience in safe working practices/procedures
• Be a supportive team member, trustworthy with great work ethic
• Good PLC knowledge (would be advantageous, but is not a requirement) and programming capability
• Quick learner
• Computer Literacy – be able to operate basic word processor and databases (experience using SAP would be highly regarded, but is not mandatory)
