Job summary

The Midfield Group in Warrnambool, Victoria seeks an Electrician (General) to join a safety‑conscious team for on‑site maintenance. You will work with skilled tradespeople to service plant/equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, and install new systems at our Warrnambool site.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Trade Certificate, have experience in similar roles, and demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate and/or related qualification is required.
• Knowledge of common machining equipment is preferred.
• Strong experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
• Self‑motivated, problem solver and team player.
• Punctual and reliable with good interpersonal & communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy is needed.
• Right to work in Australia (38 hours/week).
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and pre-employment medical if required.
• Q Fever vaccination already or willingness to participate.

We have a current vacancy for a safety focused Electrician (General) to join our team located in Warrnambool, Victoria. In this role, you will be required to work alongside a crew of like-minded tradespeople to deliver maintenance onsite.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Electrical service and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Fault finding on machines including electrical & mechanical machines and subsequent repairs
• Installing new machines and complete electrical systems
• Repair and maintain all types of electrical equipment
  

Skills & Experiences

• You must have an Electrical Trade Certificate and/or other related industry qualification
• Knowledge of common machining equipment
• Strong experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
• Self-motivated, problem solver & team player
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• You must have the right to work in Australia (38 hours/week)
• You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
• You have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process
