Job summary

ETA Group is seeking experienced Electricians for Raw Coal MCC replacement and HV switchboard change-out works at Goonyella Mine. The role runs short-term with pre-work and a four-week shutdown, featuring 12-hour shifts on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

You will join a crew of about eight electricians and complete off-site training and site authorisation activities as part of the pre-work. Eligibility includes electrical licence, mine experience, and authorisations as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted electrical licence.
• Standard 11 - highly advantageous.
• Current Coal Board Medical - highly advantageous.
• Experience with MCC and/or HV switchboard replacement works.
• Previous Goonyella Mine experience - highly advantageous.
• Current Goonyella Mine authorisations - highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Working within a crew of approximately eight electrical personnel on Raw Coal MCC replacement and HV switchboard change-out works.
• Pre-work will include training, SOPs, medicals, online training, and site authorisation activities.

This is a short-term opportunity consisting of approximately one week of pre-work followed by a four-week shutdown, working 12-hour shifts on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

• $68.77 per hour casual rate
• Additional $3.00 per hour site allowance

Successful applicants will be required to satisfy all relevant site access requirements, including medical, training and authorisation requirements where applicable.

Key dates
Off-site training is expected to commence from approximately 14 September, with site authorisation activities scheduled for late September and early October.
