Job summary

Visy is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our rPlastics facility in Melbourne. The role focuses on maintaining electrical systems and automated machinery to support production efficiency and minimize downtime.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and install control and PLC infrastructure. The position requires an A-Grade Electrical License and experience in industrial settings, with an emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Electrician with an A-Grade Electrical License.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within industrial/FMCG environments.
• Exposure to PLC diagnostics and control systems.
• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Job description

As a Maintenance Electrician in our rPlastics facility, you will play a key role in maintaining the performance and reliability of electrical systems and automated machinery. Your work will directly support production efficiency and help minimise downtime.

• Shift Details: Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday (2pm to 10pm)

What you’ll do:

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and electrical servicing of equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in plant systems, machinery, and production lines
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical infrastructure, including control and PLC systems
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address urgent repairs and enhance system reliability
• Work independently and proactively while contributing effectively within a team environment
• Uphold and promote a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace

What you will bring to the team:

• Trade-qualified Electrician with a current A-Grade Electrical License.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within industrial, FMCG, or continuous process manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to PLC diagnostics and control systems.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
