Job summary

Aldesta Hotel (Australia) on Heron Island, QLD, is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our remote, live-on team. You will maintain plant and equipment, diagnose faults, and support maintenance across domestic and commercial systems on a true coral cay near the Great Barrier Reef. Role requires Certificate III in Electrotechnology and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in electrical installations both domestic and commercial.
• Proven skills and knowledge in fault finding and diagnosis of plant and equipment.
• Support mechanical breakdowns and preventative maintenance as required.
• Sound communication (verbal and written) and time management skills.
• Face-to-face customer interaction experience.
• PLC knowledge and experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance of plant and equipment including preventative maintenance.
• Carry out diagnostics and fault finding activities of plant and equipment and report concerns to the Manager.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team and wider departments.
• Assist in the day-to-day safe operation of plant and equipment.
• Keep informed of current and emerging technologies to provide cost effective services.
• Contribute to process improvement activities and report ideas to the Manager.
• Resolve guest concerns to their satisfaction within your authority.

We are now seeking a qualified Electricianwho is ready to embrace our unique culture and contribute to the transformation of our extraordinary resort.

Your role will include:

Undertake maintenance of plant and equipment including preventative maintenance.

Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding activities of plant and equipment and report any concerns to the Manager in timely manner.

Provide technical support to the maintenance team and wider departments.

Assist in the day-to-day safe operation of plant and equipment were assessed as competent to operate.

Keep informed of current and emerging technologies to provide cost effective services.

Contribute to process improvement activities in the area of responsibility and report new ideas to the Manager for consideration.

In consultation with the Manager, effectively resolve guest concerns to the guest's satisfaction and within your level of authority.

What you will bring to the role:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Trade Qualified Electrician).

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in electrical installations both domestic and commercial.

Proven skills and knowledge in fault finding and diagnosis of plant and equipment such as refrigeration equipment and other systems pertaining to.

Sound knowledge and experience to be able to support mechanical breakdowns and preventative maintenance as required.

Sound communication (verbal and written) time management and organization skills.

Previous experience with face-to-face customer interaction.

PLC Knowledge and experience highly advantageous.
