Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Electrician (Maintenance) for a 6-month contract at the Boyne Smelter in Gladstone. You will perform electrical maintenance on plant equipment, support crane tending assemblies and raw material delivery systems, and ensure work is completed safely according to site procedures.

The role is on-site in Gladstone with a lifestyle roster. A heavy industry background and Electrical Trade Qualification are required; White Card and safety tickets are

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification is mandatory.
• Experience in heavy industry or large-scale processing preferred.
• Strong safety focus and compliance with site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Work on crane tending assemblies and raw material delivery systems.
• Ensure all work is completed safely in line with site standards.

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Electrician for immediate start at the Boyne Smelter, Gladstone.

Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Electrican (Maintenance) at the Boyne Smelter.

Role Overview

You will join established maintenance teams supporting critical plant operations across large-scale aluminium and refining assets. The work focuses on maintaining safe, reliable production through preventative maintenance, fault finding, and operational support within structured systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance on plant equipment
• Working onCrane tending assemblies and associated raw material delivery systems
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards and procedures

Key Requirements

• Electrical Trade Qualification (mandatory)
• Heavy industry or large-scale processing plant experience preferred
• Strong safety focus and ability to work within strict compliance environments
• White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift (FL), and EWP tickets highly regarded
