Job summary

RecruitShop is partnering with a leading Australian-owned manufacturer in Blacktown to recruit a hands-on Workshop Supervisor. You’ll lead a multi-trade team, spend most days on the workshop floor assembling, wiring, testing and fault-finding vibratory equipment and control systems, while mentoring on-site trades.

The role requires an unrestricted Electrical Licence, trade qualifications and strong leadership to coordinate workflow, with WHS awareness and crane experience as desirable.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Electrical Licence.
• Trade qualifications with proven supervisory experience in a workshop or manufacturing setting.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Experience coordinating workflow and managing multiple priorities, with a solid understanding of WHS and safe work practices.
• Overhead crane experience (desirable, training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Assembling, wiring, testing and fault-finding vibratory equipment, electric motors and control systems.
• Servicing and repairing equipment returned from mine and quarry sites.
• Leading and mentoring Fitters, Painters, Coil Winders, Technicians and Apprentices on the floor.
• Planning the day’s jobs and keeping work moving safely and on schedule.
• Operating forklifts and overhead cranes for loading, unloading and despatch.
• Setting the standard for safe work practices across the workshop.

About The Opportunity

This is a genuinely hands-on role. You’ll spend most of your day on the tools, leading by example on the workshop floor while guiding a skilled multi-trade team. You’ll be:
