Job summary

JLE Group, based in Orange, NSW, seeks an experienced Electrical Workshop Manager to lead the Manufacturing & Hire division. You will oversee workshop projects, manage planning, budgets and resource allocation, and collaborate with engineers and estimators to ensure quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 7–12 years in electrical trades with workshop management experience, and proficiency in SimPro. A strong focus on safety, quality, and stakeholder communication is essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified; relevant trade qualifications preferred.
• 7–12 years’ experience in electrical trade or workshop management.
• Experience with SimPro or similar project management software.
• Understanding and applying relevant standards and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage workshop teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Oversee project planning, budgets and forecasts for workshop projects.
• Ensure quality and profitability across workshop activities.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and end-of-month invoicing and budgets.
• Coordinate material and subcontractor procurement in line with tender budgets.
• Maintain safety, document control and quality testing throughout projects.
