Job summary

JLE Group in Newcastle, Australia, is seeking an experienced Electrical Workshop Manager to lead our Manufacturing & Hire division. You will oversee workshop projects and drive safe, efficient delivery of high-quality electrical equipment for major construction, renewables and data centre initiatives.

The role focuses on planning, budget oversight, resource and plant coordination, and mentoring workshop supervisors to achieve quality and profitability while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification and trade experience.
• Experience leading workshop teams and projects.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Experience with SimPro preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Workshop Supervisors to achieve project goals and profitability.
• Oversee project planning, budgets, forecasts and cost control.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and end-of-month invoicing.
• Coordinate handover meetings with estimators and engineers to ensure information is available.
