JLE Group in Newcastle, NSW, seeks an experienced Electrical Workshop Manager to lead the Manufacturing & Hire division. You will manage workshop teams, oversee projects, and coordinate budgets, forecasts and resource planning to ensure quality and profitability.

Responsibilities include supervising workshop supervisors, assisting with monthly reports, invoicing, tender budgets, and handover meetings with estimators and engineers.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be electrically qualified and able to lead workshop teams.
• Experience planning budgets, forecasts and resource allocation.
• Strong ability to manage and motivate supervisors and coordinate project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Represent JLE Mining and Tunnelling as Workshop Manager, collaborating with project support teams and Supervisors.
• Lead and manage Workshop Supervisors to achieve quality and profitability targets.
• Complete monthly progress reports, end-of-month invoicing, and budget forecasts.
• Participate in handover meetings with estimators and Engineers to share project details.
• Assist with material and subcontractor procurement in line with tender budgets.
• Resolve cross-functional issues and maintain a positive team culture.
• Communicate planning costs and quality expectations to management and clients.
• Prepare detailed project handover reports with Supervisors, including scope and drawings.
