Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Proserpine Mill invites applications for an Electrical Tradesperson. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment across the mill, with an emphasis on plant reliability and safety.

It offers a permanent full-time position in the Whitsundays region, including a mix of shift work during the crushing season and day work in maintenance season. You'll gain hands-on experience with PLC-based systems, motor control, instrumentation, and renewable energy

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence
• Current CPR Certification
• Current Low Voltage Rescue Certification
• Post-trade experience in industrial electrical maintenance
• Ability to work rotating shifts during the crushing season
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across the mill.
• Ensure plant reliability and operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in industrial electrical and control systems.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based systems.
• Support a range of motor control and instrumentation applications.
• Participate in plant upgrades, shutdowns and improvement projects.
• Assist with commissioning new equipment and modifications.
• Complete maintenance records, reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
