Discover Your Next Role
Looking for a hands‑on boilermaking role where you’ll put your welding and fabrication skills to work on large‑scale industrial plant and equipment?
As a Boilermaker at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you’ll work within our Herbert Region sugar factories, carrying out fabrication, welding, repairs and maintenance on the heavy industrial equipment that keeps our operations running. From large milling trains, conveyors and structural steelwork through to pipework, chutes and other fixed plant, you’ll work across a variety of equipment in a demanding industrial environment.
This is a maintenance‑focused role where practical fabrication skills, fault‑finding and quality workmanship are essential. You’ll work alongside fitters, electricians and other tradespeople, responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance and undertaking fabrication work to keep our factories operating safely and reliably.
This is a full‑time permanent position based in North Queensland’s Herbert Region, working a year‑round day‑work roster, with some weekend work and overtime as required. During the crushing season, generally June to December, you’ll support operational maintenance and breakdown repairs. During the maintenance season, generally January to May, the focus shifts to major repairs, fabrication projects and plant overhauls in preparation for the next crush.
We’re looking for a qualified Boilermaker who takes pride in their trade, enjoys hands‑on fabrication and maintenance work, and is comfortable working around large industrial machinery and equipment.
You’ll bring sound welding and fabrication skills, practical problem‑solving ability and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. You’ll also be comfortable working independently or alongside other tradespeople and operational teams.
Don’t have all the additional tickets? We still want to hear from you. For the right candidate with the trade skills, aptitude and willingness to learn, we’ll support further training and development to build the additional competencies required for the role.
At Wilmar, you’ll be embraced as a valued member of our team and appreciated for your unique contributions. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including additional leave and superannuation entitlements and exclusive partner discounts. Our emphasis on safety and innovation creates a supportive work environment where you can thrive.
