Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited in Queensland is seeking experienced Electricians to join the Inkerman Sugar Mill electrical team. Applicants from electrical, instrumentation and systems engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The role focuses on maintenance, installation, calibration and testing of process control systems, plus fault finding, with pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with industrial experience.
• Current QLD Electrical work licence.
• Experience in trouble shooting and fault finding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
• Motivated, hardworking, reliable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Provide a maintenance service to Mill departments for planned and unplanned maintenance and capital projects, safely and on time.
• Install, repair, maintain and test equipment within training level.
• Install, calibrate and maintain pneumatic, electronic and microprocessor based process control systems hardware.
• Maintenance of digital and analog process control system programs using appropriate software packages.
• Fault finding of complex process control systems involving pneumatic, electronic, microprocessor based and/or mechanical subsystems.
• Basic repair, calibration and maintenance of laboratory and miscellaneous analytical instrumentation.
