Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited, Plane Creek Mill in Sarina, Queensland, is seeking a Trade Qualified Carpenter to join the maintenance team. This permanent, day-work roster role provides the chance to maintain and improve plant facilities in a dynamic industrial environment.

You will perform planned and unplanned carpentry tasks, work safely, and contribute to a strong safety culture while collaborating with a supportive team across mill departments.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification as a Carpenter.
• Manual Driver Licence.
• Experience in a relevant carpentry or maintenance environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
• Team-first attitude and willingness to contribute.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Proactive approach to supporting internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned and unplanned carpentry maintenance across the Mill and associated facilities.
• Undertake carpentry work associated with capital projects and improvements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Assist with assessing the economic life and performance of assets.
• Assist with the development of proposals for capital and maintenance budgets.
• Liaise with the Work Coordinator regarding work priorities, costs and scheduling of expenditure.
• Work collaboratively with other Mill departments and maintenance personnel.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the site.
