Job summary

Protech are seeking switchboard builders/trade assistants to join our clients' teams in and around the Epping, Melbourne area. We value electrical trade assistants with at least two years in the field, and those with industrial/switchboard manufacturing backgrounds will be highly regarded.

The role is ongoing, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on requirement, day shifts from 6am, and overtime available as work ramps up.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade assistants with at least 2 years in the field.
• Experience in switchboard manufacturing is highly regarded.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hour days.
• Able to read electrical schematics.
• Strong safety focus with attention to detail.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Building and wiring mechanical components of custom switchboards.
• Reading schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Working across a range of industry projects.
• Must have reliable transport.

We are ideally looking for electrical trade assistants who have spent a minimum 2 years in the fieldand those with industrial/switchboard manufacturing backgrounds will be highly regarded.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Electrical trade assistants + switchboard assemblers
• Previous experience working in a switchboard manufacturing setting
• Ability to be on your feet for8-10 hour days
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Strong safety focus & attention to detail
• Team player with good communication skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Ongoing role working Monday to Friday and Saturdays on requirement
• Day shifts from6am starts
• OT on offer as the work ramps up, 8-10 hour days
• $42.00ph – $46ph + super + penalties
• Consistent pipeline of work
