Job summary

Lindores Construction Logistics is seeking an Electrical Tower Crane Fitter for our Burleigh Heads, QLD team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical tower cranes, ensuring on-site reliability and safety.

You’ll work with other plant equipment and support documentation and client coordination. The position requires valid QLD electrical credentials, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work to tight schedules in a family-owned business environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the WHS Act and safety compliance
• Experience in maintenance of heavy equipment and cranes
• Ability to plan, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication across all levels of personnel
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs on plant & equipment
• Ensure proper documentation and safety procedures are followed

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and servicing of Electrical Tower Cranes on ground and on site
• Maintain other company plant and equipment as required
• Complete inspections and major rebuilds when necessary
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
• Manage parts stock and documentation for servicing activities
• Coordinate with clients and LCL staff to minimise downtime

Job description

We're a proud family-owned business looking for a reliable, hardworking Electrical Tower crane Fitter to join our Burleigh Heads team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining our fleet of tower crane and mobiles within the business.

This role is for an Electrical Tower Crane Fitter with Lindores Construction Logistics in Burleigh Heads, QLD.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preventative maintenance & scheduled servicing of:
• Electrical Tower Cranes - on ground and on site
• Other company plant & equipment as required
• Complete annual / major 10 yearly inspections/re-builds as required
• Undertaking diagnostics, fault finding and replacing components
• Carry out Electrical / Mechanical / break down / emergency repairs on all plant & equipment
• Ordering of materials/consumables to enable efficient servicing & repairs
• Complete all relevant documentation as required
• Understanding and ensuring that there is full compliance with the applicable legislation and procedures relating to Workplace Health and Safety, Training and Quality Assurance
• Supply and ensure that you use the required safety devise and proper personal protective equipment in the depot & on site
• Planning and carrying out the servicing of tower cranes with clients to minimise down time with tower crane schedules
• Liaising with clients and coordinating of LCL staff on breakdowns to ensure that a prompt service is available to minimise back charges and down time
• Compliance to LCL's procedures and work instructions as well as statutory and regulatory requirements for the relevant project and its location

Key Skills

• Knowledge of statutory requirements of the Workplace Health and Safety Act
• Experience with administration and maintenance requirements
• Commercially focused
• Unassuming and approachable - must be able to communicate to personnel at all levels in a manner with which they feel comfortable with the individual
• The ability to work to tight timetables and meet strict deadlines
• Be aware of the surrounding environment and people with which the individual works

• Project and priority management experience

You will possess or be able to obtain:

• Appropriate QLD Electrical license
• First aid and CPR certification
• Certificate in working at heights
• QLD driver's license
• Electrical Fitter must be the holder of a relevant trade qualification.
