Job summary

RES Group is recruiting an Electrical Technician for operations at the Blue Grass Solar Farm in regional Queensland. The role supports safe and efficient operation through maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.

You will join an experienced O&M team, perform routine and advanced maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement. A Queensland electrical licence, CPR/LVR, first aid and a valid driver's licence are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair and installation.
• Experience working on industrial, utility-scale solar, renewable energy or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a site-based team.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine and advanced maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnosing faults and resolving complex technical issues, including repairing or replacing faulty components
• Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance SOPs and procedures
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with site safety standards and operational requirements
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs and inspectionsProviding leadership and mentorship to junior technicians where required
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient site operations
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment
• Responding to emergency maintenance requests when required
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance
