Job summary

Glencore Technology in Townsville is advertising a full-time Electrical Technician role in the Plate Manufacture, Electrical / Automation and Control Department, reporting to the Supervisor Day Services. The successful candidate will support equipment setup, maintenance, and electrical installation to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Ideal applicants will hold an Electrical License and an Electrical or Automation and Control qualification, have experience in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Electrical or Automation and Control qualifications.
• Hold a current Electrical License.
• Current manual Australian driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Promoting and delivering a culture of excellence in health, safety, environment, operations, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support for equipment in Plate Manufacture, to assist with equipment set up, fine-tuning of equipment, planned maintenance, support breakdown maintenance with troubleshooting, interface with external support, and sourcing of spare parts.
• Prepare Laser Cutter programs, CNC Milling Machine Programming, and assist with the equipment set up for manufacturing.
• Provide support for electrical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Provide support for the installation of new electrical equipment.
