Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading technology organization to recruit experienced Electrical Design Specialists for a short-term project in Sydney. You will apply hands-on industry experience to analyze, evaluate, and solve complex electrical design and system-level engineering problems across a range of applications.

Responsibilities include developing and reviewing electrical designs, performing load flow and protection coordination calculations, interpreting schematics, and ensuring designs

Qualifications

• Hands-on industry experience in electrical design.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and protection coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on requirements and system performance.
• Design and review electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and components.
• Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and equipment specs.
• Perform electrical calculations including load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Evaluate design alternatives and potential issues.
• Review and validate designs against project requirements and standards.
