Job summary

Embedded Expertise invites an Electrical Design Engineer to join Tasmania-based operations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will deliver advanced electrical solutions across multiple projects, from concept through to commissioning, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will design complex electrical systems, prepare specifications and diagrams, review designs for reliability, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in electrical design, preferably within the water, industrial, or manufacturing sectors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
• A solid understanding of Australian electrical standards and regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Create detailed technical specifications, schematics, and diagrams for electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and automation systems.
• Conduct thorough analysis and testing of electrical designs to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
