Job summary

UGL is recruiting a Supervisor - Electrical for our QLD projects. You will supervise on-site electrical construction activities, coordinate crews and apprentices, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence across live substations and renewable sites.

You will bring an Electrical Trade Qualification and proven supervisory experience on major projects, with strong leadership, communication and planning skills. This role is based in Mount Isa, QLD.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification required.
• Experience supervising electrical construction on major projects.
• Experience in substations, HV works, renewables or major infra preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Solid safety, QA and site compliance knowledge.
• Ability to coordinate multiple fronts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, organisation and people management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site electrical construction activities.
• Manage electrical crews, subcontractors and apprentices for productivity and quality.
• Oversee installation and termination of cables, earth grids, HV plant, switchgear.
• Coordinate works in live substations and operational environments.
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety initiatives.
• Ensure HSSEQ, QA and project documentation requirements are met.
• Monitor progress, workforce performance and timesheets.
• Support workforce development, inductions and compliance training.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site leadership.
