Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is recruiting for a Supervisor - Electrical to lead site electrical activities on QLD projects. You will supervise crews, coordinate safety, schedule work, and ensure quality across substations and HV installations within a dynamic renewables portfolio.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and delivery on major infrastructure projects, with opportunities to work across solar, wind, and storage initiatives in a fast-paced mining and energy corridor.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification required.
• Extensive supervisory experience in electrical construction.
• Experience in substations, HV works, renewables or major infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site-based electrical construction activities.
• Manage electrical crews, subcontractors and apprentices to ensure productivity, quality and compliance.
• Oversee installation and termination of cables, earth grids, HV plant, switchgear and associated services.
• Coordinate works in live operational environments including substations.
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety initiatives.
• Ensure HSSEQ, QA and project documentation requirements are met.
• Monitor progress, workforce performance and timesheets.
• Support workforce development, inductions and compliance training.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site leadership.

You'll be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards, while coordinating teams and resolving challenges in real time.

About the Candidate

You are a confident Electrical Supervisor with experience delivering complex electrical works on major projects and a genuine commitment to safety, quality and leadership.

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Exetensive experience in a supervisory role within electrical construction
• Experience in substations, HV works, renewables, or major infrastructure projects (highly regarded)
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Solid understanding of safety systems, QA requirements, and site compliance
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment
• Strong planning, organisation, and people management capability
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
