Job summary

NEPEAN Longwall is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to establish and build the Electrical Department at our Kurri Kurri workshop. You will lead the inspection, repair, overhaul, and commissioning of electrical fit outs across projects and provide ongoing support to internal and external customers.

Ideal candidates have NSW electrical trade qualifications, strong fault-finding skills, and a proven ability to manage teams of electricians and apprentices while ensuring

Qualifications

• NSW electrical trade qualifications required.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of underground/open-cut mining electrical equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical schematics, drawings and scopes of work.
• Carry out control and power wiring of electrical equipment.
• Fault finding and functional testing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Oversee AS3800 level overhaul of safety-critical equipment.
• Lead and mentor electricians, trades assistants and apprentices.
• Maintain calibration and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate handovers and provide project progress reports.
