Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance in Melbourne. Coordinate electrical construction activities to deliver safe, compliant and efficient project outcomes through effective supervision.

The role requires a Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence, relevant trade qualification and proven delivery experience in construction/infrastructure. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential to drive project milestones and client

Qualifications

Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence and relevant trade qualification.
Experience delivering construction projects in the infrastructure sector.
Knowledge of Australian standards for electrical installations.
Experience leading subcontractors, suppliers and direct workforce personnel.
Strong leadership, planning, stakeholder engagement and people management skills.
Experience with commissioning and permit to work.

Responsibilities

Supervising site operations and subcontractor performance to achieve project milestones.
Driving a strong safety culture through hazard identification, risk management and compliance with legislative and company requirements.
Planning and coordinating site resources, including labour, materials, plant, equipment, permits and work activities.
Building effective relationships with clients, project teams, suppliers and subcontractors through clear and professional communication.
Leading site teams through pre-starts, toolbox talks.
Identifying site issues, managing project risks, and implementing practical solutions to improve delivery outcomes and productivity.
Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with applicable safety standards and project specifications.
