Job summary

UGL’s Energy & Industrial is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead site-based electrical construction activities on the Goyder BESS Project in South Australia. This hands-on role focuses on safe delivery, quality, and timely completion while coordinating crews, subcontractors and apprentices.

You will supervise electrical works, ensure compliance with HSSEQ and QA requirements, and communicate with stakeholders to drive progress on a DIDO/FIFO roster.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification and supervisory experience on major projects.
• Strong safety leadership and QA/compliance focus.
• Experience supervising electrical construction activities in substations, HV works, renewables or major infrastructure projects (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site-based electrical construction activities
• Manage electrical crews, subcontractors and apprentices to ensure productivity, quality and compliance
• Oversee installation and termination of cables, earth grids, HV plant, switchgear and associated services
• Coordinate works in live operational environments including substations
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety initiatives
• Ensure HSSEQ, QA and project documentation requirements are met
• Monitor progress, workforce performance and timesheets
• Support workforce development, inductions and compliance training
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and site leadership
