Job summary

Ventia's WAIO team seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical crews across maintenance, shutdowns and projects for BHP Iron Ore in the Pilbara. You will drive safe, efficient delivery, coordinate resources and ensure quality across brownfield and greenfield activities.

You will role-model a proactive safety culture, lead toolbox talks, and liaise with clients and site teams to meet regulatory and Ventia standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and WA electrical licence required.
• Statutory Supervisor Examination Certificate (WA) required.
• Current Driver's Licence required.
• Experience supervising electrical work in mining/heavy industry desirable.
• Strong leadership, safety focus and communication skills essential.
• Able to plan, coordinate crews and support shutdowns.

Join Ventia's WAIO team and play a key role in delivering electrical maintenance, projects and shutdown works across BHP Iron Ore operations in the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will provide frontline leadership to electrical crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with client and regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of brownfield projects, maintenance activities and shutdowns while contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure and operational outcomes.

About The Role

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate electrical work crews, ensuring all activities are completed safely, productively and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Building effective working relationships with client representatives, site personnel and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with statutory, client and Ventia requirements

You are an experienced electrical leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality and team performance. You have the ability to lead crews in a dynamic mining environment while maintaining a practical, solutions-focused approach.

You Will Bring

• Demonstrated experience supervising electrical work within mining, resources, heavy industry or industrial environments
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience coordinating work crews and contractors in operational environments
• Strong planning, reporting and organisational capabilities
• A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
• The ability to build positive relationships across multiple stakeholder groups

Essential Requirements

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current WA Electrical Licence
• Statutory Supervisor Examination Certificate (WA)
• Current Driver's Licence
• BHP WAIO Supervisor mandatory competencies
• Ability to complete and maintain all required site-based training and inductions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

Experience working on BHP Iron Ore operations or similar mining environments will be highly regarded.
