Job summary

Hitachi Rail in Brisbane, Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Supervisor with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a diverse environment. The successful candidate will lead the Electrical team and subcontractors on ETCS L2 projects, ensure high safety standards, and deliver regular progress reports while maintaining

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
  • 5+ years in Railway signalling.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Cert IV in Electrical or Signalling L2 (Mandatory).
  • Demonstrated competency in Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience working within brownfield railway signalling environment.
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and oversee construction activities based on signalling and functional documentation, including 'set to work' supervision.
  • Manage the Electrical team and subcontractors for ETCS L2 project delivery and coordinate all electrical site activities according to the project plan.
  • Optimize project resources, both internal and external, to meet milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to define site safety requirements and implement HSE initiatives in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure HSE compliance, defining site safety requirements, and implementing initiatives.
  • Provide regular progress reports on construction activities and resource performance evaluations.

Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‑motivated Electrical Supervisor with high attention to detail, resilient under pressure with the ability to operate effectively within a culturally diverse work environment.This position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for the control and/or coordination of Electrical construction activities to ensure that assigned projects are completed to the client's satisfaction and to meet quality, time and profit objectives. Monitor progress, ensuring that work quality and techniques are of a high standard, and report regularly on project performance and cost against company objectives. Ensure that safety is an integral component of all construction planning and processes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
