Job summary

Redpath Group is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for the Appin Project in NSW. Lead electrical teams to safely deliver project outcomes with operational excellence and compliance. FIFO and DIDO options may be available for experienced shaft sinking personnel.

The role reports to Project Manager and focuses on safe operation of winding systems and shaft electrical equipment, with strong leadership and maintenance background valued.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical preferred).
• Experience with powered winding systems and coal mining equipment (highly desirable).
• Leadership experience managing crews in high risk environments.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Strategic planning skills with ability to develop long term plans.
• Current driver's licence and ability to obtain National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and reliability of powered winding systems and shaft electrical infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address electrical and control system issues, implementing effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordination of electrical works between engineering and operational departments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Monitor and analyse powered winding system performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
