Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for Underground Mining to lead our electrical teams across client sites. You will report to the Operations Manager and own the safe, compliant delivery of maintenance, installations, breakdowns and compliance on underground operations.

This senior role requires statutory responsibility, S26 oversight, and the ability to mentor engineers and electricians while driving safety culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A Grade) required.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Electrical Supervisor qualification required.
• Electrical Nominee registration or eligible.
• Minimum 5 years underground mining electrical leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and WHS (Mines) Regulations.
• Experience with Pronto Xi ERP for maintenance and costing.
• Experience with INX safety/incident management tools.
• Management Representative for EC licence responsibilities.
• HV switching qualification essential.
• Senior First Aid/CPR/LVR current.
• White Card and Australian driver’s licence.
• Pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Have full Australian work rights.
• Proven leadership and communication in underground environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical supervisors, electricians, and contractors on surface and underground fronts.
• Act as Schedule 26 Electrical Supervisor and Electrical Nominee.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdowns, installations, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with WA mining regs, WHS (Mines), AS/NZS 3000 and site standards.
• Drive safety culture and electrical risk management.
• Travel frequently to multiple client sites and manage costs and productivity.

Westfill is looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent - Underground Mining, reporting to the Operations Manager, to lead our underground electrical teams across client sites.

This is a senior leadership role with statutory responsibility. You will own the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all electrical works (maintenance, installations, breakdowns, and compliance) on underground operations.

The successful person provides hands‑on leadership while ensuring full compliance with Schedule 26 / S26 statutory requirements and nominee obligations and Electrical Contractor (EC 16077) management responsibilities.

ESSENTIALS - To Be Successful In This Role

• Current WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A Grade)
• Current Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Electrical Supervisor qualification
• Current registration (or immediate eligibility) as an Electrical Nominee.
• Minimum 5 years underground mining electrical leadership experience (Supervisor / Superintendent level)
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, WA mining electrical standards, and WHS (Mines) Regulations
• Strong experience with Pronto Xi or similar ERP (maintenance, work orders, asset management, and costing)
• Strong experience with INX or similar safety or tehcnical investigative solutions (safety, incident management, competency, and compliance systems)
• Fulfil the role of Management Representative for the Electrical Contractor (EC) licence
• HV Switching qualification
• Current Senior First Aid, CPR / LVR
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Full Australian work rights
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a high-performance underground environment
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include drug and alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance valid within the last 6 months

THE JOB

• Lead, mentor, and manage electrical supervisors, electricians, and contractors across surface and underground work fronts
• Act as the appointed Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Electrical Supervisor and Electrical Nominee
• Plan, prioritise, and coordinate preventative maintenance, breakdown response, installations, testing, and commissioning
• Ensure full compliance with WA mining regulations, WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, AS/NZS 3000, and site standards
• Drive safety culture.
• Manage HV and LV systems, isolation practices, and electrical risk through procedural controls
• Frequent travel to various client sites
• Monitor performance, costs, and productivity; report to operational leadership
• Support continuous improvement, training, and development of the electrical team
