Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for the Major Shutdown Maintenance team at Roy Hill Mine. This on-site role oversees electrical shutdown work across fixed plant, delivering safe, timely handbacks to operations.

You will lead crews, manage scope, ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols, and coordinate with operations, planning, and vendors to keep critical-path activities on track.

Qualifications

• Supervise electrical maintenance or shutdown work in fixed-plant, mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of electrical safety systems, permits and isolation processes.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and scopes to identify readiness gaps.
• Coordinate work fronts and manage priorities to protect critical-path tasks.
• Experience verifying work quality, testing records and handback to operations.
• Strong leadership and clear communication; escalate safety or schedule risks.
• Experience with SAP CMMS or similar systems.
• Meet WA Schedule 26 eligibility for electrical supervisor appointment.
• Hold a current WA electrical worker’s licence endorsed as electrician.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical shutdown activities per safety plans, permits and requirements.
• Ensure contractors are competent, licensed, and supervised accordingly.
• Support shutdown readiness through scope reviews and mobilization checks.
• Coordinate interfaces with operations, planning, and vendors.
• Lead pre-starts and shift handovers, communicating priorities and risks.
• Monitor safety, progress and quality; resolve barriers promptly.
• Manage changes within approved shutdown scope and processes.
• Verify inspections and documentation before handback to operations.
• Review work packs for SAP close-out and asset history.
