Job summary

Powered Electrical & Data is seeking an experienced electrical professional for Newcastle, NSW. You will own job delivery end-to-end, coordinate labour across service and project work, and lead field teams ensuring projects meet scope, safety and quality requirements.

Ideal candidates have an Australian Electrical Licence, White Card, current driver's licence and proven simPRO experience. The role offers autonomy, a stable leadership structure and ongoing pipeline of work in the Hunter region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in electrical contracting or related field.
• Australian Electrical Licence required.
• White Card required.
• Current Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of job delivery from creation through to completion in simPRO.
• Labour planning and scheduling across service and project work.
• Daily communication with field technicians regarding scope, materials, access and site issues.
• Coordination with builders, clients and other trades around programmes and delivery.
• Managing client portals and maintaining clear communication throughout each job.
• Identifying delivery risks early and resolving issues before they become problems.
• Defect and warranty management through to close-out.
• Day-to-day leadership of the field team and allocating labour effectively across competing priorities.
• Engaging, briefing and managing subcontractors.
• Quoting, managing variations from identification through to approval and invoicing.

Powered Electrical and Data – Newcastle NSW

You'll take responsibility for ensuring jobs are properly planned, resourced, delivered, documented and closed out — profitably, on time and to the standard clients expect. You'll lead the field team, manage subcontractors, oversee scheduling and commercial performance, and make sure the systems behind the business work properly. You'll also have the autonomy to identify what's not working and improve it.

Key responsibilities

Full ownership of job delivery from creation through to completion in simPRO

Labour planning and scheduling across service and project work

Daily communication with field technicians regarding scope, materials, access and site issues

Coordination with builders, clients and other trades around programmes and delivery

Managing client portals and maintaining clear communication throughout each job

Identifying delivery risks early and resolving issues before they become problems

Engaging, briefing and managing subcontractors

About you

5+ years' experience in the electrical industry

Australian Electrical Licence

Strong simPRO experience or extensive experience with comparable field-service software

Experience leading electricians, apprentices and subcontractors

Strong understanding of scheduling and labour utilisation

Commercial understanding of job costing, margin, variations and WIP

Experience quoting electrical works

Strong client and stakeholder management skills

Sound knowledge of WHS requirements within electrical/construction environments

Current Driver Licence and White Card
