Job summary

One Harvest, Sydney, is seeking an experienced Electrical Reliability Specialist to join the Reliability team. The role focuses on driving maintenance excellence across electrical, control and automation systems to improve asset reliability.

The successful candidate will own reliability initiatives, lead root-cause investigations, and shape preventative and predictive maintenance strategies in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or Electrical Trade qualification.
• 5+ years in electrical engineering, maintenance, reliability or automation in manufacturing.
• Experience with RCA, FMEA, RCM and continuous improvement.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley).

Responsibilities

• Own RCm and predictive maintenance programs across processing, packaging and utility systems.
• Analyse machine health and performance data to identify and prevent potential failures.
• Facilitate RCA investigations and drive corrective and preventative actions to completion.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, control and automation systems.
• Manage the lifecycle of electrical/automation infrastructure, including upgrades and capital projects.
• Manage contractors and service providers, including safe systems of work (PTW, SWMS/JSA).
• Collaborate with production, quality, safety and engineering teams, and with OEMs, to drive operational excellence.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Reliability Specialist to join our Reliability team in Sydney.

This is a true individual-contributor specialist role, with no direct reports. Your impact comes from technical depth and influence, not from managing a team. You'll drive maintenance excellence across our electrical, control and automation systems to improve reliability, reduce downtime and support site performance, owning reliability initiatives, facilitating root cause investigations, and shaping our preventative and predictive maintenance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and optimise reliability-centred (RCM) and predictive maintenance programs across processing, packaging and utility systems.
• Analyse machine health and performance data to identify and prevent potential failures.
• Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and drive corrective and preventative actions to completion.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, control and automation systems.
• Manage the lifecycle of electrical/automation infrastructure, including upgrades and capital projects.
• Manage contractors and service providers, including safe systems of work (Permit to Work, SWMS/JSA).
• Collaborate with production, quality, safety and engineering teams, and with OEMs, to drive operational excellence.

About You

You're a proactive, solutions-focused electrical professional with a passion for reliability engineering and continuous improvement. You bring strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record of improving asset reliability in a manufacturing environment.

• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant Electrical Trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, reliability or automation in manufacturing.
• Strong experience with RCA, FMEA, RCM and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA and industrial automation systems like Allen Bradley platforms.
• Design and implementation of safety control systems (e.g. safety relays, safety PLCs) and understanding of AS4024.
• Knowledge of AS3000 and AS3008 electrical standards.
• Experience managing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing contractors and service providers, including safe systems of work (Permit to Work, SWMS/JSA).
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to influence operational teams and drive improvements without formal management authority.
• FMCG, food manufacturing or processing industry experience.
• Experience with MEX or other CMMS platforms.
• Experience in condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.
