Job summary

One Harvest is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Specialist to drive maintenance excellence across mechanical assets and systems. You will own RCM, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, analyse performance data, and lead RCA investigations to improve uptime and efficiency.

The role emphasizes technical depth, cross-functional collaboration with production and maintenance teams, and ensuring safety and reliability in a fast-paced fresh food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or relevant trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, industrial, process engineering or mechanical maintenance environments.
• Experience with Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), FMEA, RCA and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, belts and conveyors.

• Analyse equipment performance and data to identify and prevent failures.
• Facilitate RCA investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support lifecycle management of mechanical assets, including spare parts optimization and capital projects.
• Partner with production and maintenance teams to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and service providers to deliver effective maintenance solutions.

About the Role

We'relooking for an experienced Mechanical Reliability Specialist to join our Reliability team.

This is a true individual-contributor specialist role, with no direct reports. Your impact comes from technical depth and influence, not from managing a team.You'lldrive maintenance excellence across our mechanical assets, equipment and systems to improve reliability, minimise downtime and support operational performance, owning reliability initiatives,facilitatingroot cause investigations, and shaping our preventative and predictive maintenance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Own and optimise Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs across processing,packagingand utility assets.

Analyse equipment performance, machine healthdataand operational trends toidentifyand prevent potential failures.

Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and drive corrective and preventative actions to completion.

Provide technical support and troubleshootingexpertisefor mechanical systems and equipment.

Support lifecycle management of mechanical assets, including spare parts optimisation and capital projects.

Partner with production and maintenance teams to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Work closely with OEMs,contractorsand service providers to deliver effective maintenance solutions.

About You

You'rea proactive, analytical mechanical reliability professional with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. You enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders and using data-driven insights to improve equipmentperformance, andbring strong technicalexpertiseand a proventrack recordof improving reliability outcomes in a manufacturing environment.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or relevant trade qualification with significant industry experience.

Minimum 5 years' experience

in manufacturing, industrial, process engineering or mechanical maintenance environments.

Strong experience with Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), FMEA, RCA and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Sound knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission systems, pumps,blowersand conveyors.

Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MEX.

Strong stakeholder management,communicationand influencing skills.

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.

FMCG, food manufacturing, meatprocessingor high-speed packaging experience.

Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Experience in machinery reliability, conditionmonitoringand predictive maintenance technologies.

Contractor management experience and understanding of Permit to Work and safe systems of work.

Knowledge of Australian machinery safety standards, including AS4024.
