Job summary

Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal in Gladstone, QLD, is seeking an experienced Electrical Reliability Engineer to join the Engineering team. This permanent full-time residential role focuses on ensuring reliable, safe operation of automated terminal assets and systems.

The role reports to the Engineering Lead and demands strong electrical reliability capability, heavy industry exposure, and collaboration across operations, maintenance, and contractors in a highly automated environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical reliability capability and heavy industry experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical reliability and technical engineering support across terminal assets.
• Support electrical safety governance, including high voltage access and isolation.
• Maintain and apply electrical engineering standards, specifications and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and contractors to resolve electrical issues and improve asset performance.
• Identify reliability improvements and support electrical projects and asset lifecycle planning.
• Review technical scopes, contractor deliverables and supplier performance for safe outcomes.
• Provide clear reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead by example in safety and governance.
